/ˈmantrə/ a statement or slogan repeated frequently.

This is my husband's mantra. In fact, he first said this to me during our wedding vows, and since then, I've heard it about a hundred times more. If you know my husband at all, he's definitely one of those "go big or go home" "all your eggs in one basket" kind of person. I am quite the opposite as I tend to be a little more Type A, cautious and "sensible". But the fact that he's like that is one of the reasons I fell in love with him in the first place.

Shaun says that the heart behind "FEAR NOTHING AND RISK EVERYTHING" is all about choosing not to give into fear and worry, but instead to put it all out there and believe that God has the best in store for us. As my pastor would say, it's about choosing faith over fear.

In fact, this creative journey that I'm expressing with you here is actually the fruit of Shaun encouraging me to fear nothing and to risk everything. I recently transitioned from working at my church to pursue this dream of living a creative life and while it was a very tough decision, I can say that I've truly experienced God's faithfulness in deciding to step out in faith.

Shaun definitely has big faith and to have "faith for dayzzzzz" is one of our personal goals for our marriage. I'm currently still on the journey and though more times than I'd like to admit, I find myself giving in to fear, tomorrow will be a new day and so begins a new opportunity to fear nothing and risk everything.

Disclaimer: he said that I need to give him creative credit for coming up with this amazing mantra, so ya..LOL.
